The Duarte Ryu Dojo has just moved from its location at the UUCJ on Arlington Expressway to its new location at the United Martial Arts dojo on Fort Caroline Road. We at Duarte Ryu would like to thank the headmaster and owner of United Martial arts, Sensei James Pierce, for giving us this opportunity to train and partner with other martial arts in the Jacksonville area.
Duarte Ryu provides a safe environment in which to develop and learn a fighting art. The instructors are well trained and provide proper instruction and guidance in the acquisition and application of techniques. The dojo uses top of the line Zebra grappling mats with a Tatami-style textured surface. The training is hard ,as this is a hard style of martial art, but students work together to help each other grow and develop in the art of Duarte Ryu.
